Mr Bumble's Story
In a faraway land, a honey-less beehive lay discarded on the floor by an old leafless tree. All the bees had left the hive except one. This bee stayed at the hive on his own, fending for himself and making delicious tasting honey.
A young honey-loving Barnet fan came across the hive on a cold winter's day and was curious to see what was inside. To the fan's delight there was a lot of honey which he ate until he was full. The fan then noticed a small, shy bee tucked in the corner of the now empty hive. The Barnet fan loved bees, so decided to take him home and make him a big hive for him to play in.
The fan started to take the bee to the football and decided on a name; Mr Bumble.
The bee grew and grew till he was a big bee and he decided that he wanted to make children happy, just like the Barnet fan had made him happy when he was on his own.
Mr Bumble, the Barnet FC mascot was born.
It was decided that Mr Bumble would live at Underhill with all the other bees, spending time making children happy and supporting Barnet FC.
He has been a busy bee this summer moving all his belongings over to The Hive where he feels right at home!
This is Mr Bumble's story, he is really happy at The Hive and hopes that you will come and support him and the club on match-days and give him many more happy memories!
