Barnet gave the Underhill faithful something to smile about as they clinched a 2-0 win over Fleetwood Town in the last ever floodlit match on the famous slope.
Mark Byrne smashed home the opener after 25 minutes before Luke Gambin added a second with an hour played for a Bees side missing several key players.
Jake Hyde, Elliot Johnson and Ross Jenkins all missed out due to illness whilst Edgar Davids began serving a two-match ban.
In came Harry Crawford, Jon Nurse, Luke Gambin and Tom Flanagan who helped the Bees to a clean sheet on his first start for the club.
After nine minutes the home side created the first chance when a lovely pass from John Oster played in Nurse who shot inches wide.
The away side rarely threatened and with 25 minutes played Barnet took a deserved lead.
Nurse seized possession and cut the ball back to Weston whose shot rebounded off Scott Davies and into the path of Byrne who smashed the ball home.
The away side edged their way back into the match and their best chance of the night fell to Alan Goodall who flicked the ball just past Graham Stack’s near post.
Edgar Davids was highly critical of his side for starting slowly against Accrington Stanley but they came out for both periods in electric fashion.
Gareth Evans headed straight at Stack with 55 minutes played but the Bees doubled their lead five minutes later in quite comical circumstances.
Defender Shaun Beeley attempted to head the ball back to Davies but neither took control and the pair collided allowing Gambin to roll the ball into the empty net.
The Bees were all too happy to keep possession in the final half hour and frustrate their opponents who never looked like scoring in a million years.
If anything it could have been more; Nurse fired wide when he should have hit the target and Byrne was denied his second by a fingertip save from Davies.
The Cod Army did cause a moment of panic when Nathan Pond’s flick drifted across the goalmouth but the Bees held on for a massive three points.
Next up for Barnet is a second match in an Underhill treble header against Cheltenham Town before they take on Dagenham & Redbridge the following week.
