Claire Bennett, a 15-year-old GCSE student at Ravenscroft School in Barnet Lane, is No 3 in the NUMU music charts ... and her latest song, written in aid of Children in Need, is to get an airing on Saturday at the game against Notts County at Underhill.

She wrote the song, 'We're only a phone call away', in 15 minutes and the aim is to get the fans at Saturday's game to hear the track and buy the CD in a bid to raise funds for Children in Need.

Claire, who is also a member of the Guild of International Songwriters and Composers, is a Barnet girl who lives in Fairfield Way.

She can play the piano and clarinet as well as sing. Claire tells barnetfc.com:- "I wrote the music for the piano first and then wrote the lyrics.

"Once I fitted it together with a melody I added an accompaniment of strings and with my music teacher's help (Scott Welcomme) we added a drum beat. Once it was mixed we put it on CD".

The track is selling at Ravenscroft School during break times. Barnet FC is pleased to support the talented Claire in aid of such a good cause as Children in Need and we wish her every success. If you would like to support Claire, she will be selling the CD in the Pavilion after the game on Saturday.
