Posted on: Mon 24 Nov 2008

Danny Hart, the 19-year-old local lad who was brought up and went to school in the Underhill area, went back to his old alma mater on Thursday. Danny was a guest at Underhill Junior School, where he was once a pupil, at their Community Performance evening.

The deputy Mayor (Councillor Mukesh Depala), together with his wife, Sadhana, who also acts as his deputy, were among the VIPs present. The school was full of past and present pupils, with guest appearances from the Head ,Naz Goddard, and some of the teachers, performing singing, dancing, gymnastics and instrumental numbers.

During the interval Danny reminisced about his time at Underhill and spoke to pupils in his first classroom.

Barnet FC community manager Janet Matthewson said:"It was great to see such great local talent and it was obvious how much the children enjoyed their performance. According to Naz Goddard, it is to become an annual event."
