The entire Barnet squad attended the Christmas party of Noah's Ark - a vibrant local charity committed to developing a hospice service to provide practical support to an estimated 350 life-limited children, and their families, living within the communities of South Hertfordshire and North London .
The players took along gifts for the children, which they had all taken the time and expense to buy themselves. Both the club and the charity are hoping to turn this into an annual event as the children and players both thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon.
One charity volunteer described the party as her most memorable moment with Noah's Ark: "Watching the Barnet FC team give their time to play with the children and hand out Christmas presents as well as sign photos and footballs impressed everyone because of their kindness and patience... too often young men are given a bad image by the media".
