KICKZ PROJECT - BEES v SPURS

Posted on: Tue 13 Jan 2009
Teenagers from Barnet Football in the Community Kickz' project take on neighbours Tottenham Hotspur before Barnet's game v Dagenham & Redbridge next Saturday.

An U16 XI, picked by FitC coaches Hayley James and Giuliano Grazioli, are currently training for this eagerly awaited North London Derby, which will take place in the shadow of Underhill Stadium on the Kings George playing fields.

Kick off will be at mid-day and the young Bees would love your support to help them beat their rivals, so please come down and show your backing for the young people in the black and amber.

Kickz is a free project run by professional football clubs across the country. Kickz aims to: Engage young people in a range of constructive activities, break down barriers between the police and young people, reduce crime and anti social behaviour in the targeted neighbourhoods, increase the playing, coaching and officiating opportunities for participants, and create routes into education, training and employment.

Following the game, FITC will welcome the Tottenham team and their staff, along with officials as guests at Underhill, to watch Ian Hendon lead the Barnet first XI as they take on Dagenham & Redbridge in another London Derby.

Also in attendance, as guests of FitC, will be kids from Dagenham's Kickz project, as a return gesture for entertaining Barnet's teenagers at the Friday night fixture last October.
