Barnet FC Football in the Community has undergone a name change ... it is now Barnet FC Community Trust.

And the Temple Fortune branch of Waitrose is supporting the new trust throughout the month of October.

Community Matters is a new Waitrose giving initiative. Each trading month shops will have £1,000 to divide between three local organisations, such as welfare or community, schools or local divisions of national charities.

Waitrose at Temple Fortune have nominated the Barnet FC Community Trust as one of their options.

This is how it works ... customers will be offered a token each time they shop. These can then be inserted in one of three Perspex tubes - one for each organisation. At the end of the month the tokens for each organisation are weighed and the beneficiaries will then receive a proportion of the cash.

So - it's shopping at Waitrose at Temple Fortune to support Janet Matthewson and her community team in the weeks ahead.
