Barnet FC Football in the Community has changed its name to "Barnet FC Community Trust" with immediate effect. The scheme has always operated on a 'not for profit' basis with revenue being reinvested into the scheme in the form of new staff, staff development and resources. Our scheme is backed by the Professional Football Association, The Football League Trust and operates within FA guidelines.

We feel that the time is right to take the next step and become a charity and that process is underway at present.

We believe that we will continue to play a supportive role in the community by operating proven initiatives and developing new ones, thus underpinning the principles of 'EVERY CHILD MATTERS'.

Our Aims & Objectives
• To work within our community for the benefit of the community.
• To improve player pathways from participation to excellence.
• To work in partnership with statutory and community groups, including youth chartered standard football clubs.
• To support government initiatives aimed at youth, using Barnet FC as a vehicle to deliver and reinforce important social message.
• To be flexible and adaptable, designing courses to suit school & community needs.
• Increasing the amount of people, particularly children, participating in sport
• Encourage people, especially children, to lead healthier lifestyles
• Use sport as a vehicle to re-engage children in learning
• Create and develop programmes to reduce youth offending through our social inclusion programmes and mentoring schemes.
• Operate an inclusive approach to work
• Establish Barnet FC and its facilities as a community resource
• To create and foster a community identity
• Deliver a range of training programmes to produce qualified sports coaches, thus creating employment and volunteering opportunities
• To create and support community volunteers, both young people and adults

As the Trust continues to grow throughout the borough, we will spread the word about the mighty Bees and hopefully help to encourage the next generation of Bees' fans.
