SUCCESS FOR KICKZ PROJECT TEAMS

Posted on: Mon 08 Mar 2010
Barnet FC Kickz project entered the Nike 5 tournament on Sunday 14th at Regents Park Powerleague.
The under 16s and under 18s teams played against other Kickz projects from around the London area competing for the Nike 5 title under the watchful eye of Arsenal left back Armand Traore, who was supporting the tournament.
The teams played with confidence and maturity which also was reflected on their behaviour throughout the whole tournament. Between games the young people had the opportunity to MC and DJ at the Basestation.
The under 18s teams were defeated in the semi finals after playing 'some fantastic football' throughout the tournament. The under 16s team battled their way into the final against Millwall where they unfortunately lost 1-0. All players received Nike goodie bags and the under 16s received a Nike kit for reaching the final stage of the competition.
A very well done for all that were involved for giving a great representation of Barnet FC Community Trust's Kickz project!
Don't forget that Barnet Kickz is now on Facebook!
Kickz runs Monday, Wednesday 6-8pm and Friday 7-9pm at Underhill Junior School, Mays Lane, every week. Kickz also operates at Mill Hill Powerleague the first Monday of every month 5:30-7:30pm.
