Last night Barnet first team captain Micah Hyde and central defender Joe Devera attended Barnet FC Community Trust's Community Academy at London Maccabi, Rowley Lane.

The players observed the coaching sessions for under 12 and under 14 age groups coached by the Community Trust's experienced staff.

The groups then came together for a question and answer session. The children were extremely excited about meeting the players and posed some very creative questions.

The players then chatted with coaches, children and parents, with Joe even demonstrating some of his goalkeeping skills!

The Community Academy has now completed its second term 10 week football programme, catering for 6-14 year olds with the ambition of being referred to the centre of excellence.

The project has gone from strength to strength and hopes to continue its development for the forthcoming term. Dates and venues are to be confirmed, notification will be on this website.
