Bees rise to the challenge for Sport Relief 2010 and do their bit!
Sport Relief is back and bigger than ever and Barnet FC is proud to lend its support by challenging true Bees to get sporty, have fun and raise cash by entering their local Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile on Sunday March 21.
Anyone taking part can choose to do 1, 3 or 6 miles - and supporters are being urged to show their true colours and wear their Barnet home or away shirts with pride while taking part - along with the official Sport Relief socks, of course! Sport Relief harnesses the power and passion of sport to change lives for the better. And, the best bit is, all the cash raised will help to transform the lives of those in desperate need across the UK and the world's poorest countries.

Justin will arrive at New Barnet having completed 31 miles around stores in each of the other 31 regions, starting in Ireland , going to Scotland and working his way around the country, completing his feat at the store in New Barnet. The store manager Richard Alexander and colleagues will be accompanying Justin on his final mile in fancy dress. Staff have arranged a number of activities including a sponsored head shave of the store manager subject to raising £500 within the store. There will be music - guest appearances of
Barnet player Paul Furlong, currently injured, Mr Bumble and some of community staff will be on hand to help out. So if you want to get a poster signed by Paul , come along between 4-6 this Saturday. Barnet FC's blow up goal will be there (subject to weather) and your chance to win prizes with competitions such as 'guess the number of balloons in a car'
And on Friday, 19th, Grasvenor Avenue Infant School children aged 4-7, accompanied by teachers, parents and younger siblings will join Mr Bumble on a walk around the stadium to raise money for this weekends Sport's Relief. A novel way for the children to raise money for such a good cause, the request came in via the School's Council and Janet Matthewson, Barnet FC Community Trust and her team, have made this suggestion possible.
Remember it all helps make a difference!
