Barnet FC Community Trust will be continuing the Community Academy football programme.
The aim of the Community Academy is to provide a key stepping stone for young players of all abilities to potentially move onwards to the Centre of Excellence. The Community Academy recognises the importance of developing and nurturing young players' technical ability and tactical understanding of the game, therefore coaching sessions shall be carefully designed and delivered to ensure developmental outcomes are continuously met.
What age groups are there?
Under 8s, 10s, and 12s
Under 14s and 16s
Who is it for?
It is for ambitious players wishing to develop, club players who require additional progress of their ability and newcomers to the game.
Cost?
£40 for 10 consecutive weeks
Coaching staff?
Dedicated, experienced and suitably qualified to developing young talented players into elite. Staff will be trained to identify talent and coach all abilities.
Coaching sessions?
Throughout the programme, our coaching staff will not only endeavour to develop the young players' technique and ball mastery, they will educate them on life skills such as: sportsmanship, discipline and respect.
Can my child play for a club as well as train with the Community Academy ?
Yes they can. Barnet FC CT acknowledges that young players attending may be attached to clubs and schools teams and would like to make clear that the Community Academy is for developing players and they are not bound to any contract.
Centre of Excellence?
Gifted and talented players will have the opportunity to be referred by the head coach to the Centre of Excellence for up to six week trials.

Beginning: Monday 26th April
Under 8s, 10s and 12s Underhill Junior School, EN5 2LZ (outdoors) 5.30-6.30pm Monday
Under 14s and 16s Underhill Junior School, EN5 2LZ (outdoors) 7.00-8.00pm Monday
Places cannot be guaranteed without prior booking. There are only 30 places per age group available!
