BARNET LOSE SCHOOLS' CUP FINAL

Posted on: Thu 27 May 2010

Barnet Schools' memorable season came to an end at Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium when they were narrowly beaten by hosts Warington in the English Schools' FA Cup Final.

With barely enough players to make up a squad and not enough kit to go round, it was real blood and thunder effort by the team to win the league and stay unbeaten in doing so. They beat the powerhouses of Brent and South London en route to the Cup Final.

In the final analysis they were disappointed to lose to a Warrington team which, though very good, wasn't as strong as some of the sides they had already beaten to get to the Reebok.

Barnet are the champions ... and they got so close to the magic double.
