Barnet FC Ladies regained their six point lead at the top of the FA Women's Premier League Southern Division with a 6-3 home win against Keynsham Town on Sunday.
The Bees got off to a flying start with Holly Sandow and Gemma Rudman scoring to establish a 2-0 lead in the opening five minutes of the game. Keynsham pulled a goal back, but Sandow was on hand on again to score from close range after excellent work from Stacey Sowden, to make it 3-1.
The visitors reduced the Barnet lead to 3-2 shortly after the interval, but three goals in five minutes on the hour mark put the result beyond any doubt. Cheryl Williams, Claire Thomas and Stacey Sowden were all on target as the Bees moved into a 6-2 lead.
Keynsham scored a late consolation goal but they could not stop the Bees from collecting their ninth league victory in ten matches so far this season.
