Barnet Ladies marched triumphantly into the 5th Round of The FA Women's Cup this afternoon by beating Colchester United away 3-2 after extra time.
Goals by Holly Sandow (2) and a winner in extra time from Cheryl Williams followed a pre-match pep talk for the Ladies from Ian Hendon. They now meet West Ham United at the Thurrock FC ground next Sunday in the next round.
Hendon, who singled out former England international defender Danielle Murphy and ace goalscorer Stacey Sowden for particular praise, said: "I was totally impressed with the commitment of all the players ... they worked their socks off to get the result".
Ian has promised to be at Thurrock next weekend to give the Ladies another rallying call before meeting the Hammers.
