Ace goalscorer Stacey Sowden, who has scored an incredible 184 goals in only 147 appearances for Barnet Ladies, has won the FA Golden Boot for netting 18 in the memorable FA Tesco Women's Premier League Southern Division .campaign.. six more than any opponent.
Stacey will receive her award this week and her achievement was ackowledged at Saturday's 2009/10 Ladies' presentation evening in the directors' lounge at Underhill by Dennis Signy, representing Barnet FC.
He said: "Even Jimmy Greaves, the greatest goalscorer of my years in football, would be delighted to have the record haul of goals that Stacey has for the Bees".

Barnet Ladies, inspirationally led by first team manager Tracey Kevins, won their League championship by eight points, losing only two of their 22 matches all season, and reached the semi-finals of the FA Women's Cup. They will now play in the National Division. The reserves retained the Middlesex County FA Women's Junior Cup.
After watching a montage of the season, Mr Signy joked:"I haven't seen Barnet goals rain in like that for a long time - it's nice to be in the company of a winning Bees' team"
Fixture secretary John Taylor said: "The long unbroken commitment to the female game by Barnet FC is at least the equa of any other club in the country".
He praised the efforts of chairman Graham Slyper, the Ladies' voice on the Barnet board of directors, in an ultimately unsuccessful bid to join the FA Women's Super League - "a strong statement of what our club stands for".

Mr Signy congratulated Riana on her selection as Young Asian Sports Personality of the Year, an award that brought much publicity to Barnet FC and the Ladies.
