Barnet FC Ladies have regained second place in the South East Combination League table by virtue a resounding 10-1 away victory against bottom of the table neighbours Wembley on Sunday.Five different Barnet players were on the score sheet in the match, with teenage striker Stacey Sowden marking her first start for the Bees with a four-goal haul.

It took only three minutes for Barnet to take the lead.Charlotte Herson, in the Wembley penalty area for a corner, took advantage of the home side's inability to clear the danger and struck home from 12 yards. It was defender Herson's first goal in over 50 first team appearances for the Bees.

Kerry O'Connor made it 2-0 from close range after 16 minutes, tying up the loose ends after the home defenders had failed to deal with Beth Curtis's free kick.Eleven Minutes later Donna McGuigan netted her first goal of the season when she finished from inside the six-yard box, after the home goalkeeper had been unable to hold Charlie Longuehaye's header from another Beth Curtis free kick.

The home side pulled a goal back after 31 minutes, thanks to an exquisite chip by the experienced Kelly Spencer.Stung by conceding this goal the Bees poured forward with the intention of adding to their own tally.Stacey Sowden was unlucky to have a penalty appeal turned down when she was pulled down in the area, whilst Hannah Grover shot narrowly wide from 30 yards after breaking clear from her position at right back with a surging run.

However, Barnet were able to add two goals before the interval, both well taken efforts by Stacey Sowden to make the half time score 5-1.

It took 13 minutes of the second half for Barnet to make the score 6-1.Beth Curtis was attributed with this goal after her goal bound effort was deflected into the Wembley net, with Charley Longuehaye on hand just in case the ball did not cross the line. There was no doubt that Curtis scored Barnet's seventh goal four minutes later. The Bees' top scorer picked the ball up in midfield an unleashed an unstoppable shot past the home team's goalkeeper. It was Curtis's 9th goal of the season.

After 68 minutes, Kerry O'Connor met Beth Curtis's near post cross to score her second of the match, her fifth of the season. As was the case in the first half, it was left to Stacey Sowden to wrap up the scoring for the Bees. With 13 minutes remaining, substitute Abi Naugher made a surging run down the right hand side and pulled the ball back for Sowden to score.Three minutes later Sowden ran on to Hannah Macey throw to round the keeper and slot the ball home to make the final score 10-1.
