Ladies Lose In Cup

Barnet Ladies were knocked out of the Women's FA Cup at the third round stage by close rivals Watford on Sunday in a game ridden with errors by both sides.
The Bees, who played some good football in an entertaining opening period, took an early lead through the prolific Stacey Sowden but two individual errors saw the Hornets go 2-1 in front as the travelling Barnet side began to look shaky at the back.
Tracey Kevins' side began the second half in determined fashion and were quickly back on level terms through Sowden once more but a penalty miss to go 3-2 in front cost the Ladies and they conceded two breakaway goals which saw the home side progress to the next stage of the competition.
