A Tenner A Time For Palace
It's a tenner a time to watch Championship Crystal Palace on Saturday in a match arranged to mark the 100th anniversary of football at Underhill ... and both The Pavilion and the Durham Suite will be open to supporters.
Entrance to the Durham Suite will be from inside the ground when the turnstiles open at 1.30 p.m. - although supporters with pre-paid tickets will be allowed in when they arrive. The directors' lounge will be used for hospitality packages.
Tickets for the match have been priced at £10, with concessions at £5 and under-12s allowed in free on production of a form of ID.Only South Stand turnstiles will be open and only the West side of the ground will be used. There will no segregation of supporters.
Former Barnet goalkeeper Gary Phillips has organised the return of eight former Barnet favourites to watch the game and Paul Fairclough's side will be wearing the new old gold and black shirts to be used this season which are based on the 1907 style when Underhill opened. Valerie Finch, widow of Lester Finch, Barnet's most notable player, will be the guest of honour.
The new kit is to be launched on Friday and will be available from the club shop, with further sales at Underhil on Saturday.
Palace were the first-ever visitors to Underhill on September 14, 1907, when Barnet Alston won the match 1-0 in front of an enthusiastic crowd of 800.
