THREE COACHES TO BURTON

Posted on: Sun 02 Dec 2007

Three coachloads of Barnet supporters will travel up the M1 on Saturday for a testing second round FA Cup tie against what manager Paul Fairclough describes as the best Burton Albion side for years.

Fairclough has set a short term target for the players to navigate this week's tie with the hope of a money-spinning third round draw against a Premiership giant. But he has emphasised to www.barnetfc.com, despite the blip of a 3-0 home defeat by 'bogey team' Grimsby Town, who the Bees have not scored against or beaten since the return to the Football League, that a play-off place is still the main aim.

"We have played worse and won", he said of the Grimsby defeat. Barnet are ninth in the League 2 table.
