GRAZIOLI AND HART MAKE THE BENCH
Danny Hart celebrates his 19th birthday tomorrow with a place on the bench against promotion contenders Stockport County ... alongside 33-year-old striker Giuliano Grazioli.
With six players out through injury, manager Paul Fairclough names a 16-man squad and stresses that winning the game takes priority with him ahead of sentiment.
He said recently of Hart, who lives down the road from Underhill, "I want to get him on the pitch to see what he is about. In training he has got everything that you want from a player, he's very quick, very bright and he has probably got one of the best shots of anyone at the club".
Since joining the Bees from Boreham Wood last summer, Hart has made on brief substitute appearance, at Brentford in August, and has been on loan at Northwood and Wivenhoe.
At the other end of the scale, transfer-listed Grazioli, 65 goals in 122 appearances (23 as a substitute), has been restricted to two appearances and seven from the bench this season and has yet to score. He, backed by countless admirers, would love to get on to score what could be a trademark farewell goal for the Bees against County.
Even if he doesn't, he is assured of a good reception from the Underhill faithful, who appreciate what he has done for the club in the past five years - a free transfer signing from Bristol Rovers after completing the £110,000 transfer of Junior Agogo that represents one of the best bits of business achieved by chairman Tony Kleanthous in the past decade.
