ISMAIL MISSES ST. ALBANS
Posted on: Mon 14 Jul 2008
It's a full-strength Barnet team for Tuesday's pre-season friendly against St Albans City ... except for Ismail Yakubu.
The skipper is being rested as a precautionary measure because of a slight thigh strain, but Paul Fairclough says that the rest of the squad will figure in the game.
The following 11 will start the game: Rob Beckwith, Ashley Carew, Michael Leary, Joe Devera, Kenny Gillet, Max Porter, Neal Bishop, Albert Adomah, Adam Birchall, Kieron St Aimie and Cliff Akurang.
That's not necessarily in any positional order - just the way Paul Fairclough announced them to me.
Four trialists are set to play:- Nick McKoy, a 21-year-old former Cardiff City midfielder who played against the Bees in the Carling Cup at Ninian Park two seasons ago.
Justin Cochrane, a 26-year-old midfielder who played 60-plus games in three years with Crewe Alexandra and was with Millwall last season
Ryan Hall, a wide left 20-year-old from Crystal Palace
Mark O'Toole, an 18-year-old trainee left back released by Norwich City ... as happened with Dean Sinclair before him.
Get your biros ready for the team changes.
