BONDING FOR THE BOYS

Posted on: Mon 21 Jul 2008
Sussex-by-the sea was the venue for the Barnet squad after the 2-1 defeat by Arsenal .... assistant manager Ian Hendon and physiotherapist Mark Stein led the players on a two-day team bonding trip to Brighton.

While others paddled, Stein got players with minor knocks after the game into the sea to ease away bumps and bruises and aid their recovery for the midweek games ahead.

The visit to Brighton was a repeat of last year's bonding session ... but, according to Ian Hendon, better.

He said: "You get to know someone better sitting down eating with them rather than just meeting at training. It helps integrate the new lads- and the fresh air and the beach were a tonic".

The lads will be back in Brighton again in the first week of the season ... bonding together on the pitch in a bid to get past Brighton and Hove Albion in the first round of the Carling Cup.

The Reckless Guide To Brighton will be on the website shortly, look out for that for our Carling Cup clash on August 12.
