FIRST TEAM TO PLAY AT HARLOW

Posted on: Wed 23 Jul 2008
Player of the Year Joe Devera misses the pre-season friendly at Harlow Town on Tuesday as a precautionary measure with an injury that Paul Fairclough describes as "not serious" ... otherwise it's a full strength squad against the Isthmian League Premier Division side.

The manager, who used all his substitutes against Arsenal at the weekend, intends to let his first choice players stay on the field longer and longer in the games building up to the season.

He was disappointed to lose to the Gunners and reckons that his decision to bring on the substitutes too early changed the course of the game.

Justin Cochrane, the 26-year-old Antigua and Barbudan midfield international who played against Arsenal, has been released.
