Nicky Deverdics, the 20 -year-old Geordie midfielder who played 26 games for Gretna in the Scottish Premier League last season, completed his move to Barnet late on Thursday afternoon.

 

The former Newcastle United trainee,who has also played for Gateshead and Bedlington Terriers, said: "I am impressed by what the manager tells me about the club, Ian Hendon is a top bloke and the lads seem fine and easy to settle with.

 

"Barnet seem to play football the way I like to play ... no matter what I will keep passing the ball".
