MEDLEY AT THE DOUBLE
Barnet comprehensively saw off the challenge of Ryman League Premier outfit Harrow Borough by a scoreline of 4-2 in the long grass of Earlsmead this evening.
Adam Birchall missed a penalty in the 5th minute and the Bees were rocked 15 minutes later when Rob Beckwith, sporting a crew cut, and Michael Leary between them allowed the No.9 for the home side to nip in and find the net from an acute angle.
Barnet responded by having the bulk of the possession and in a three minute spell in the first half took the game beyond their opponents as Kieron St Aimie from distance, Neal Bishop also from outside the area and Luke Medley from close in put the Bees 3-1 to the good at half time.
The Bees were in cruise control for much of the second period, with Nicky Deverdics continuing from where he left off on Saturday dictating play from central midfield.
Albert Adomah captained the side on the return to his old stamping ground and tried valiantly to get his name of the score sheet, but for the Bees No.7 playing in a more advanced central role, in front of goal it just wasn't his night.
Medley added a Bees fourth six minutes from time with a deft header to take his pre season tally to four before Harrow Borough's No.11 notched a late consolation.
After the initial shock of going a goal behind Barnet always had more than a little to spare over their opponents, but, without doubt, Watford will provide a sterner test come Saturday at Underhill.
