O'FLYNN TO START AT GRIMSBY

Posted on: Tue 23 Sep 2008
John O'Flynn, the 26-year-old former Republic of Ireland U21 striker signed from Cork City on transfer window deadline day, will start for the Bees in the important League 2 away game against Grimsby Town on Saturday.

The 5ft 10ins tall O'Flynn, who arrived at Underhill with an impressive goalscoring CV, made a pleasing impression when he came on as a substitute with 11 minutes to go against Bury last weekend.

Paul Fairclough, who decided against starting Nicky Deverdics and O'Flynn together against Bury after their injury lay-offs, said today: "John has looked sharp and lively in training. He will start at Grimsby".

The manager also said that former PROTEC teenage striker Elliott Charles, who has made two appearances as substitute for the Bees, could be going out on loan to gain experience.
