Ryan Burge, a 6ft tall 19-year-old left winger who agreed a short term contract with League 1 Cheltenham Town until January last month, is on trial with Barnet this week.
The Cheltenham-born teenager used to support the club as a boy and was a mascot in 1996. His grandfather, Rod, is a Cheltenham director.
Burge, who was released early from a three year contract with Birmingham City by mutual consent earlier this year, was previously with West Bromwich Albion and was with Hereford United last season on trial. His CV also lists trial with Ajax, Manchester United and Coventry City.
Manager Paul Fairclough is expecting further trialists to join his squad this week.
