Bury Game Gets Go-Ahead

Posted on: Sat 10 Jan 2009

Referee Nigel Miller ruled Barnet's game against Bury at Gigg Lane ON after a lengthy Saturday morning pitch inspection.

Temperatures in the area dropped overnight to -8 and some frost got under the covers.

But Mr Miller ruled the pitch playable and said: "It can only get better".

Ian Hendon, speaking from Gigg Lane, told www.barnetfc.com: "Parts of the pitch are solid, other parts OK. I am unsure. But if the game goes ahead that's good".
