RETURN FOR DEVERA

Posted on: Thu 15 Jan 2009
Ian Hendon is setting his stall out for his first game in charge against high flying Dagenham and Redbridge by playing a 4-4-2 formation with two wingers and two strikers.

Player of the Year Joe Devera makes a welcome return to the Barnet squad in defence after an 11-match absence with a medial ligament injury for the Underhill game.

Fit again Devera comes back as 19-year-old Arsenal reserve right back Abu Ogogo misses the final game of his second month on loan. Ogogo returned to the Gunners in advance this week for checks on a strained stomach muscle that could keep him out for weeks.

Ogogo's departure leaves a gap in midfield, where he played an all-action starring role in the 2-0 win at AFC Bournemouth and again at Bury until he was injured.Fit again Neal Bishop could resume his role in midfield.

Hendon played an attacking formation in going for a win in his first game in charge at Bury and is likely to stay that way for his first home game, with on-loan experienced striker Paul Furlong and former Arsenal youngster and Crystal Palace and Southend United winger Tommy Black making their Underhill debuts.

Central defender Michael Townsend's third month on loan at Barnet from Cheltenham Town finishes on Saturday.
