Ian Hendon has made his third transfer window signing since taking over from Paul Fairclough with the acquisition of 19-year-old Plymouth Argyle winger Yannick Bolasie on a month loan. The newcomer will travel North with the squad tomorrow for Saturday's game at Accrington Stanley. He will wear the No. 30 shirt.
The youngster, nicknamed Lala by his team-mates, is the son of a Congolese international and a youth product of Rushden & Diamonds. He is a cousin of former Colchester United, Newcastle United and Portsmouth star Lomano Tresor LuaLua.
Bolasie played 24 games for Floriano in the Maltese Premier League before signing for Argyle for a nominal fee last summer after a successful trial, despite being offered a chance to sign for Austrian First Division club Sturm Graz. He was also wanted by Hoffenheim from the German Bundesliga.
Bolasie, who has been on loan with Rushden & Diamonds, has been on trial with Barnet and there are hopes that he can make a similar impact to
Albert Adomah when he signed from Harrow Borough last season.
