HENDON CHECKS OPPONENTS

Posted on: Fri 20 Feb 2009
Ian Hendon travels to Chesterfield after Barnet's final training session of the week today to watch Bournemouth attempt to get within two points of his side. Hendon will be keeping a keen eye on both sides, with The Bees travelling to Saltergate next week.

Bournemouth, who visit Underhill on April 11, have slowly clawed back their 17-point deduction at the start of the season ... conversely the Bees' 2-0 victory against them at Dean Court in Paul Fairclough's last game in charge at the end of December is their sole win in 21 games.

Hendon, seeking his first win after four draws and three defeats, welcomes left back Kenny Gillet back to the squad after his four match suspension. Barnet have brought in Matt Lockwood on loan from Colchester United in the Frenchman's absence and Hendon has to decide whether to start Gillet after his absence.

Apart from the suspended Mark Hughes and the injured Jeremy de Magalhaes, Hendon has a fit squad to choose from against high flying Bradford City. His three games at Underhill since taking over have resulted in three draws, against Dagenham and Redbridge, Shrewsbury Town and Grimsby Town.
