"I've probably been involved in a game like Tuesday, but none spring to mind. The second half performance was what you aspire to be like in every game, the whole team were on the front foot and winning the ball back in their own half which makes your attacking options easier. It took us 20 minutes to get into it, but once in it there only looked like one winner.

"People have said we finished with a 3-3-4 formation, I thought it was more a 3-1-6! We had a back three, Bish in the middle with four centre forwards out there and two out and out wingers. It shows our intentions and I'm pleased the lads took on board what we're trying to do and that's go and win every game. How we didn't get anything out of it is beyond me.

"I've said on the website already the supporters helped the players on the pitch. But I think you have to say that the players have to help create the atmosphere too. If the supporters see the players putting in the effort then it gives them a lift, it's tit for tat really.

"First and foremost the players put the performance in to get the supporters shouting like they were the other night, and it was fantastic to see.

"I've got a group of players here now that are working their socks off. We have to drag players off the training ground now and they're enjoying it. They want to work harder to better themselves and they know it's the hardest it's ever been to get in the team here.

"We're not worried about anyone else's result [Chester play Grimsby this Saturday], we're worried about Barnet's performances. If they continue to be at this standard it doesn't matter what everyone else is doing, we'll win more than we lose. It's going to be a very tough trip up to Morecambe, they're nine games without defeat I think but we're quietly confident.

"I've got a lot of selection problems at the moment. A few players have a few niggles, that's the amount games taking its toll I think. I'll probably leave the selection quite late to give them all a chance to prove their fitness."
