BREEN BACK IN TRAINING

Posted on: Mon 16 Mar 2009
Player-coach Gary Breen was back in training today after missing the 2-1 defeat at Morecambe with a ricked neck.

The absence of the 35-year-old Republic of Ireland World Cup central defender on Saturday could have been the difference between defeat and at least a draw with both Morecambe goals resulting from lapses at the back.

There was good news from the training ground, too, about 40-year-old Paul Furlong, who was substituted in the first half with a slight groin strain.

"Obviously we shall be monitoring his progress during the week", said Ian Hendon. "But Paul should be OK for Saturday".

Hendon travels to Lincoln City tomorrow to see their League 2 game against Darlington... the two sides the Bees play at Underhill on the next two Saturdays.
