Ismail Yakubu, who has had a storming second half of the season alongside Gary Breen, has been ruled out for the three remaining matches.
The 22-year-old central defender, who struggled for form earlier, collected a hamstring injury late in Monday's away game at Aldershot Town.
Michael Leary is likely to replace him against former club Luton Town on Saturday.
Physiotherapist Mark Stein said that ever-present
Albert Adomah was in line to keep his place. Stein explained that Adomah was stretchered off against Aldershot after a tackle from behind with what appeared to be a twisted ankle. By the end of the game there did not seem to be a problem, which is why the post-match prognosis on a player who had recently been carried off was "He should be OK for Saturday".
Stein also reported today that leading scorer
John O'Flynn should be able to resume running and jogging next week after his hamstring injury and fit to resume against Port Vale at Underhill on the last day of the season ... seeking the two goals he needs for his early season target of 20.
Northern Ireland international Mark Hughes, who landed badly on an ankle, should be back training next week and available for the away trip to Macclesfield Town.
Note: Luton Town have sold 720 of their original allocation of 1,200
tickets. Barnet and Bedfordshire police have been liaising with the clubs and all say that there has been no indication of trouble at the game.
