STATTO NOT FIRED

Posted on: Mon 08 Jun 2009

OK so this is not a story about Kaka signing for Barnet or staying with Milan, but it is a news story with a slight Barnet FC angle since Mr Bumble has been lending a wing to support a Barnet supporter in his quest to come out on top on an "Apprentice" type radio competition.

James 'Statto' Castle has survived the first round of the Hertbeat Apprentice - thanks to a little help from Mr Bumble.

The Bees mascot lent his support to James' campaign to raise publicity for the local Hertbeat FM station - the first task set for the remaining six would-be Apprentices by Breakfast Show host 'Sir' Steve Folland. Our very own Statto did enough to secure his place in the final five - his next task is to create a new jingle for the station, which he will have to relay to the Breakfast Show team on Thursday morning, when another apprentice will be fired….

Hear how James gets on by listening on 106.7 & 106.9 within the central Herts area (Letchworth down to North Mimms), or online via www.hertbeat.com
