Barnet will play Watford at Underhill in the Carling Cup 1st Round with the tie taking place w/c August 10, which is the week after the first game of the league season.

It will be the first cup match of Ian Hendon's managerial career and he said this morning: "That is a massive draw for us, despite the first round being regional you can't get much more local than Watford.

"Of course it will be very difficult to get past Championship opposition, but clearly that will be our aim.  I am a big believer in a good cup run being very good for a club for all manner of reasons, this draw is a fantastic opportunity for us."
