The Barnet players report for pre-season training on Thursday ... but, although it is 41 days to the League 2 visit to Sincil Bank to kick off the season against Lincoln City their hosts have already begun their preparations.

Manager Peter Jackson, after organising fitness tests and new training gear on Saturday, took his players to Northern Germany yesterday for a five day stay at an Army base.

With the Bees due to resume in heatwave conditions, Lincoln had three training sessions today and two matches to play.

Barnet have eight pre-season games before they make the trek to Lincoln.
