DEVERA AND BREEN SET FOR LINCOLN

Posted on: Fri 07 Aug 2009
Joe Devera and Gary Breen are training with the Barnet squad this week and should be fit to be in contention for Saturday's opening League 2 game of the season away to Lincoln City.

Devera, the 22-year-old former PROTEC defender who has made 113 appearances for the Bees, has not played since being taken off with a left groin injury in the game at Cambridge on July 22.

Assistant manager Breen, too, was helped off just before half time in the 3-1 weekend win at Ebbsfleet with a knee injury caused by a collision with one of Ismael Yakubu's knees. Early fears that the injury was serious were allayed before Breen left the ground.

Top scorer John O'Flynn, who collected a torn muscle in his right foot during the early pre-season programme, is back running in training and making good progress after what seemed like a setback last week.

"He's improving ... much better than he was", said manager Ian Hendon.
