BEES SIGN TWO TODAY
Posted on: Thu 06 Aug 2009
Sierra Leone international left back Ahmed Deen signed a short term deal with Barnet this afternoon.
The 24-year-old, who is a cousin of Barnet newcomer Albert Jarrett, has been on trial with the Bees throughout July after making 28 appearances last season with League 2 rivals Macclesfield Town.
Deen, who played alongside Jarrett for Sierra Leone, collected one booking with Macclesfield all last season ... against Barnet.
Deen, who has represented Sierra Leone 10 times, previously played for Peterborough United, Aldershot Town and St Albans City. He can play left wing or in a three up front formation as well as at left back.
He is one of five full internationals in Ian Hendon's squad - along with Gary Breen, skipper Micah Hyde, Mark Hughes and Jarrett.

Phil Carpenter, the 20-year-old PROTEC goalkeeper who has been with Barnet for three years, also signed a short term deal with the Bees today.
Carpenter, who trains with the Barnet squad, had a month's trial with Manchester City last month.
The 6ft 2ins tall keeper has played for the Bees in friendlies and has been on the bench seven times as a substitute.
