Ian Hendon reacted to previews that Lincoln City will do well this season - a top three position is one forecast - by saying straight-faced and tongue-in-cheek : "No pressure on little old Barnet going to Sincil Bank then".
The manager, who completed his team rebuilding for the season with four signings on Thursday, is taking a fully-fit squad to Lincoln for the opening League 2 game of the season ... with the exception of top scorer John O'Flynn, who will stay at home for treatment on his foot injury.
Hendon, who has banned talk about how the Bees will do this season, is playing his team selection close to his chest to keep the opposition in the dark but was pleased to open up when asked about the season's opening.
"The lads are up and ready for the kick off", he said. "They are buoyant, in good spirits and looking forward to it.
"Everyone expects Lincoln to do well and I am content with that. But the talking and forecasting is over at 3.00pm tomorrow ... it's results that count from now on in".
