BARNET PLAYER COMPLAINTS ADDRESSED

Posted on: Mon 10 Aug 2009

Complaints from some supporters about a lack of volume in the Barry Swain commentary of the Barnet visit to Lincoln City on Barnet Player were swiftly dealt with by the club over the weekend.

The complaining fans said that the Lincoln commentary was clear; the Barnet Player volume was "pretty low".

Barnet FC contacted Swain, who said that the Lincoln commentary came via a mobile while his was from a far more powerful source via ISDN. PTV, who launched an investigation into the complaints, countered by saying that all commentary was broadcast by the same technology at the same volume.

While PTV said that they continued to investigate, Swain is in contact with the direct provider of the feed in an attempt to resolve the issue.

Barnet FC are hopeful that this Barnet Player "teething problem" is eradicated before Tuesday's commentary from Underhill on the Carling Cup tie against Watford.
