HUGHES TO BE TESTED

Posted on: Tue 18 Aug 2009
Northern Ireland international midfielder Mark Hughes will report early at Underhill late this afternoon for a fitness test on his damaged right shoulder.

Hughes went to hospital in pain after being substituted against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday and x-ray revealed ligament damage. However, movement was restored by Monday morning and Hughes will have a session with physiotherapist Mark Stein today jogging and running to see if he can play against Morecambe this evening.

Top scorer John O'Flynn had an injection in his right foot on Monday and the good news from the consultant was that there were no complications. The striker is back running and training on his own.
