Barnet, who jumped to fourth place in the League 2 table after their added time win against table-topping Notts County, take on League 1 Millwall at Underhill on Tuesday night, 7.45pm kick-off, with the enticing prospect of an appearance at the home of English football the ultimate prize, with the winners receiving £100,000.
Amazingly, this is the first-ever meeting between the two clubs in The Football League or any Cup competitions ... although the Bees met Millwall Athletic (forerunners of today's Lions) between 1898-1901.
Ian Hendon, who timed his introduction of top scorer Jake Hyde against Notts County perfectly. has done his homework and watched Millwall against West Ham United in the Carling Cup, a game he thought they might have won. The League 1 and 2 clubs have continued their commitment to fielding full strength teams throughout the JPT - which means playing at least six of the 11 players that have started most often in first team games this term.
Hendon, who has a League 2 game at Northampton Town three days after the Millwall match, said:"I go into every game looking for a win and this will be no different.
"The chairman has said that he dreams of Barnet reaching Wembley ... maybe this game will bring the dream forward a little".
The game will be decided on the night - there is no extra time in drawn JPT matches; once again deadlocked games will be decided by penalty shoot-outs at the end of 90 minutes.
Admission for U12s at Underhill will be £5, otherwise normal ticket prices will apply. Barnet FC have announced that the central section of the East Terrace and also the North West Terrace will be sterile areas. The North Terrace is reserved for Millwall fans. A slimmed down version of the match programme will be on sale for £1.
Barnet's new top-of-the-range CCT system, which covers one end of Underhill to the other, will be operative and there will be a police presence after consultations between them and the two clubs.
