LEACH GOES FOR SCAN

Posted on: Sat 05 Sep 2009
Central defender Daniel Leach goes for a scan today on the ankle problem that kept him out of the side that beat Millwall 2-0 at Underhill to make it four clean sheets in a row.

The 23-year-old, Man of the Match against Notts County, told physiotherapist Mark Stein that he was feeling better each day and hoped to resume training on Thursday, but an exploratory scan will investigate the problem.

Leach missed the visit to Torquay United with a dead leg -- "this is the first time I have ever had back-to-back injuries", he said. Clovis Kamdjo was again an able deputy alongside Ismail Yakubu in central defence.
