Kenny Gillet is fit again and back in contention for the Friday evening visit to Northampton Town that could see Barnet topping the League 2 table with a fifth successive victory.
The 23-year-old Frenchman has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury ... all games in which the Bees' back four have earned plaudits.
Ian Hendon is hoping, too, that central defender Daniel Leach, who has had a scan for an ankle problem, will also be fit to resume alongside
Ismail Yakubu. He was seeing a consultant to discuss the results of the scan on Thursday afternoon.
Ahmed Deen, who has deputised for Gillet. and Clovis Kamdjo, a stand-in for Leach, are just two players waiting to hear Hendon's team selection.
The manager, as usual, was playing things close to his chest after Thursday training. "There is good competition for places", he said."The lads who have come in to replace injured players have performed well ... I've got some decisions to make when I pick the side, but that is a nice problem to have".
Skipper Micah Hyde, Paul Furlong, Albert Jarrett and Ryan O'Neill, in addition to Gillet and Leach, missed Tuesday's deserved 2-0 victory against a strong Millwall side.
Jake Hyde scored his fourth goal in five games playing alongside
John O'Flynn ... and Joe Devera, at right back, Nicky Deverdics, in midfield, and Yannick Bolasie, on the wing, all came into the side.
We've got to wait (and guess) now until the team sheet is handed in at Sixfields Stadium tomorrow.
Footnote: Four consecutive wins and clean sheets. In season 1930-31 Barnet had an unbeaten 21 match run in the Athenian League; from December to April that season they achieved FIFTEEN consecutive victories, scoring 90 goals and conceding 20. Information courtesy of John ("Village") Adkins.
