O'FLYNN BACK ON THE GOAL TRAIL

Posted on: Wed 09 Sep 2009
John O'Flynn, back on the goal trail after missing most of pre-season training with a slow healing torn muscle in his right foot, says that the Barnet players are "chomping at the bit" after a run of five successive wins.

The Irishman, who turned 27 in the close season, joined the Bees a year ago this month and top scored with 18 goals in 34 games.

He was an unused substitute at Torquay United, played against Notts County and then came on as a substitute at Northampton Town and scored.

Two games - one goal. O'Flynn is back in business. He says that he doesn't think that complacency will be an issue in the Bees' camp.

"Winning is a habit", says the Irishman. "We just want to go out to win every game now. We know what it feels like ... we know how to do it.

"We've got a good team spirit this season and we've got a good bunch of lads. We've all gelled now. Confidence is high - everyone wants to play and everyone wants the ball.

"We've got a decent squad with decent back-up players and everyone is chomping at the bit and everyone is enjoying it.

"We've been keeping clean sheets as well as scoring goals and we are just looking forward to playing games and everyone is enjoying it.

"ANYWAY NO-ONE IS GOING TO GET COMPLACENT WHEN IAN HENDON IS THE MANAGER".
