Left winger Albert Jarrett has followed in the footsteps of his cousin and fellow Sierra Leone international Ahmed Deen by agreeing a new two year deal with Barnet,

The 24-year-old originally signed for a three month period after being released by Gillingham, for whom he played 16 games last season, and he joined the Bees for training from Day One at the beginning of July.

Jarrett has played six times for the Bees and twice been a substitute. He scored a penalty against Morecambe after stepping forward instead of scheduled taker Jake Hyde.

"I have been more than pleased with what I have seen", said manager Ian Hendon today before the team set off for an overnight stop in the Potteries en route to playing Macclesfield Town tomorrow.

Jarrett said: "I am enjoying being part of an attacking set-up".

He is one of 12 players Hendon has brought in since taking over as manager in January, four of them full internationals : - Jake Cole, Mark Hughes, Micah Hyde, on - loan Yannick Bolasie, Ryan O'Neill, Jarrett, Jake Hyde, Daniel Leach, Clovis Kamdjo, Deen, Will Viner and Paul Furlong.

Gary Breen and Daniel Leach will miss the game at Macclesfield through injury, which could give 18-year-old Cameroon U17 international Kamdjo another outing as partner to Ismail Yakubu.

Hendon has selection problems, but of the right kind: Jake Hyde and John O'Flynn have both come on as substitutes in the last two games and scored. Who will start at Macclesfield? Which two wingers will Hendon start with?

The manager will leave everyone guessing until just before kick-off tomorrow.
