Ian Hendon is threatening changes in the team for next Saturday's visit to high flying Rotherham United.
Speaking in the wake of a disappointing performance in the 2-2 draw against Braford City that kept the Bees in fourth place in the League 2 table and extended the unbeaten run to seven games, the manager commented: "We got out of jail.
"It was the worst performance (in the first half) this season. We could have been dead and buried and I feel very lucky to have got something out of the game".
The introductions of
Kenny Gillet and
Albert Adomah in the second half led to a recovery and the two substitutes laid on the Bees' goals.
Adomah is having his broken nose reset on Monday and Hendon anxiously awaits the verdict of the consultant as to how soon the winger can play ... it could vary from a few days to a few weeks.
The manager was asked at the post-match press conference if Ahmed Deen had been taken off because of injury. He said that both full backs were substituted tactically ... and praised the performances of replacements Gillet and
Joe Devera in the midweek friendly at Harlow.
Gary Breen, who has not played so far this season, could be fit for the game at Rotherham; so should fellow central defender Daniel Leach, back in training last week after tendonitis but then suffering food poisoning agony for nine hours after eating lasagne.
