Micah Hyde is hoping that Barnet can entice some of the stay-away fans to start flocking back to Underhill.
Tuesdays 2-0 win in the London Derby against Dagenham & Redbridge - the only League 2 team inside a 50 mile radius of Underhill - attracted a disappointing crowd of 2,093, which included 514 visiting fans and 190 complimentary
tickets for youngsters
Hyde said: "The whole squad is optimistic that this will be achieved if we keep going out there and giving our all, and playing good football whilst also achieving good results. In the meantime we are grateful to those who continue to keep the faith and turn up match after match".
The 34-year-old midfielder said that the well-deserved win against John Still's Dagenham showed that in football, as in life, it is about recovering from adversity - the "ugly face" of the team in losing 3-0 at Rotherham United.
Hyde added: "We certainly showed that we have the resolve, ambition and quality, as well as the squad and manager, to overcome any hiccups".
The skipper praised Gary Breen on his return to the side for his first game this season... "He slotted straight back in, using all his experience to lead the back line. A lot of people like to use the word 'experience' but it helps when you have quality as well. Gary has both".
